Badgers Mix It Up! Experience Meets Youth In Half Term Interclub Game

What a perfect day for an interclub game of hockey featuring a collection of our Badgers mixed up with some of our more experienced players and it was the juniors that really shone.

Tyler, Kai and Jack the strikers couldn’t find the target today thwarted by the older defenders and in the middle of the park Ivan, Zac, Hukam and Tom worked well to win the ball and get it forward.

Oli started the match in defence then moved up front and came really close to breaking the deadlock even after nearly getting another ball on his head from an aerial, but was saved well by Arjun in goal who was solid all match.

A first start for new boy Stanley and he wasn’t shy putting himself around the pitch but the stand out player was Veer, he was tremendous today, his tackling and general positioning was fantastic.

In the end the match finished 0-0 a fair result and a good runout to get ready for league action again next weekend.
